"Wanting to achieve the best possible result for our colleagues requires a Works Council having a good basis for discussion with the employer’s side. This requires respect and argumentation based on facts and objectives. Showing lack of respect and acting aggressively would be be counter-productive for all persons involved. Thus my credo is „act together instead of against of each other“. This is what I stand for and this is what I will adhere to in future negotiations for the good of the represented colleagues."

"Participation in the Works Council offers a variety of insights into the interplay of forces and internal processes within the academy. This results in some subtle opportunities to positively influence the interests of the employees and, thus, of all of us. The constant influence on the circumstances is what makes up the positive overall result of the Works Council's function."

"The workplace should provide for an environment to unfold constructively individual strengths in a place where people feel they are appreciated. As a Works Council member I will make a small contribution to that end. My motto: To reflect – speak – consider – act."
"The Academy is not only a workplace, it is also the place where employees spend a part of their lifetime and is a place for their social interaction. My wish for the working place is a communicative atmosphere free of oppression as well as having beneficial organisational structures which do not hinder, but encourage ideas, initiative and commitment of its employees. A framework which facilitates creative networking and social exchange should be in place.
